Abstract:
Cyberloafing behavior has become prevalent in the workplace due to the widespread use of the Internet and digital devices. While most studies have focused on the negative outcomes of cyberloafing, such as reduced productivity and job burnout, few studies have investigated its positive outcomes, such as its potential to enhance creativity and innovation. The findings of the study are expected to provide valuable insights into the extent of cyberloafing behavior in the banking industry of the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, its positive and negative outcomes, and the factors that influence its relationship with innovation performance. The study will also contribute to the literature by addressing the research gap on the relationship between cyberloafing and innovation performance in the banking industry of a developing country like Pakistan. The results of the study will be valuable for banks to develop strategies to manage and minimize cyberloafing behavior while enhancing innovation performance. The study has significant implications for managers, policymakers, and researchers interested in the impact of cyberloafing on organizational performance
