Abstract:
This study investigates the relationship between Ethical Leadership and Employee Innovativeness in the IT sector of the Twin cities of Pakistan, while considering the mediating role of self-determination. Ethical leadership, characterized by integrity, honesty, and principled decision-making, is expected to create an environment that encourages employee innovativeness. The Self-Determination Theory (SDT) serves as the theoretical framework for this study, proposing that Self-Determination plays a crucial mediating role in this relationship.Result shows that that there is positive relationship between Ethical Leadership and Employee Innovativeness with mediating effect of Self Determination.Questionnaires were distributed in IT industry, among the line manager staff in twin cities of Pakistan. The snowball approach was used to get these questionnaires filled by the respondents. Whereas results have been drawn with the help of SPSS.The study's outcomes will contribute to the existing body of knowledge on ethical leadership and its impact on employee outcomes. Moreover, the findings will have practical implications for organizations, guiding them on fostering ethical leadership practices to enhance employee self-determination and stimulate innovativeness.
