dc.description.abstract | E-Training, defined as the use of information and communications technology (ICT) for supporting the educational process, has motivated Pakistan to apply ICT in its educational systems. Pakistan’s higher and secondary level educational institutes which are geographically and socially isolated face several problems, including challenges pertaining to the acquisition ofstudy materials, and making the commute to travel to the educational institutions themselves. These issues, in turn, result in the country's stagnant ‘national literacy rate that we see today, with approximately 60% of the population being categorized as illiterate. While the world makes advancements towards science and technology, Pakistan takes a back seat. [18] The research done against the proposed system reinforces the idea to make learning accessible to anyone, anywhere. We aim to develop an interactive e-training and learning management system (e-TLMS) to be used by Pakistan’s institutes. The research for Online Training Platform for Development & Career Growth (OTPDCG) system is aimed at supporting teaching, training, and learning functions by allowing for the creation and of learning materials, making them available, easily accessible, and sharable by our storage students or trainees from different institutes of the country. OTPDCG's implementation makes use of open-source LMS to help generate a timely solution for its system development. In this specific context, focus group discussion as inspired by action research methodology was used. The research evolved into a triple helix process in close peration with other stakeholders. The development ofthe e-TLMS system made use of software engineering discipline finally, it is considered that leplication and miiroring will make learning materials highly available to end-users | en_US |
