| dc.description.abstract | Pollution and deforestation around us especially in part of lower southern Sindh has drastically increased, so, we are bringing the idea oftree plantation and gardening. Moreover, the forest cover of Pakistan is among the lowest in the world which would be around 5% ofthe land, whereas the global average is 31% as per UN’s food and agriculture organization. A large number of people wish to plant trees or decorate their own gardens but due to lack of time and knowledge about plants they fail or hesitate to do so. And for those who loves gardening and are planting trees on regular basis, it gets very difficult for them to line up everything such as cleaning the site, digging a hole, obtaining the quality or plant of their choice, watering the seedling, removing the plant from pot and placing it in the hole, covering the roots with the soil and finally gently packing the soil around the tree. The regular nurseries or roadside nurseries of Karachi to be specific are using sewage water to water the plants and the Malis are mostly from Bhakkhar, Punjab who got very poor knowledge and no idea about plants and horticulture. The clients either give up on their idea of plantation or they decide to go for the only Mali option available from nearby roadside nurseries for which they end up getting nothing but disappointment in the end because they are paying hefty amounts for the services they are getting. As the importance and awareness of redeveloping our eco-system and greenery is gradually rising in the schools, communities, corporates and households our willingness to participate in this healthy activity more than ever before. Furthermore, Pakistan’s current government aims to plant 10 billion trees by 2030, which is also among UN’s agenda of 2015. For which our team has decided to create an app (Xamarin/Flutter) called SHAJAR-KAAR. f 1 zero : The setup cost for our venture would be approx 3 million PKR carried by additional 1 million PKR from the investors. The total amount invested in the business would be around 4 million PKR. SHAJARKAAR will start their operations from Karachi, the initial target would be to of Karachi and those areas where there are less or no trees compared cover highly polluted to other pans ofthe city and moving on to the other cities ofPakistan in future. | en_US |
