Abstract:
Purpose: This study attempts to find out the role of authentic leadership, absorptive capacity, and
innovative performance in knowledge economy ofKarachi, Pakistan. In order to achieve this aim,
the data was collected from the teachers, IT sector and doctors of Karachi, Pakistan.
Methodology/Sample: A total of 355 questionnaires were filled during the study. The data was
collected keeping into consideration features such as gender, age, and duration ofthejob. The data
collection method used in this research includes both secondary and primary data. For primary
data, structured questionnaires are formulated to get information from the respondents. The
JAMOVI computer software was used to generate accurate results regarding the data collected.
Findings: The findings suggest that that both authentic leadership and absorptive capacity have
direct relationship with innovative performance.
Limitations: This study, like most others, contains limitations that can be used to guide future
research. First the data was collected from Karachi city only. Secondly thisresearch was conducted
only on teachers, IT department employees and doctors of Karachi, Pakistan
