Abstract:
Purpose:
The current study aims to investigate how psychological capital and thrive at work (OCB)
levels of employees in Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) operating
influence organizational citizenship behavior. Transformational leadership has been regarded
critical component for improving the education section's performance.

Methodology & Design:
In this investigation, a cross-sectional study will be conducted. In a cross-sectional
descriptive survey, a variable of interest's frequency, scope, or severity are assessed across a
specific demography. A sample size of 400 participants is calculated. The quantitative data
was obtained from the higher education system of Karachi. Online questionnaires have been
distributed to collect data from respondents.
Findings
Findings imply that transformational leadership significantly improves employee
organizational citizenship behavior. As a transformational leader inspires and motivates staff,
it inspires them to innovate and brings about change for the benefit of the organization. The
study's conclusions demonstrate that transformational leaders encourage OCB behavior
among their workforce and motivate them by interacting with them.
Limitations:
The drawback of this study is that the responses are based solely on the viewpoints of the
teachers and employees, with no consideration given to the supervisors' viewpoint. Although
the core of this study is on transfomiational leadership, other leadership styles are also common in Pakistan and
management and leadership styles.

Recommendations
Future researchers should concentrate on student well-being and should consider favorable
contributing factors and promote well-being in a positive manner. Additionally, note that a
higher education institution's ocb is improved by transformational leadership.
