| dc.description.abstract | Purpose The study investigated the impact of Industry 4.0 on environmental performance through green supply chain management (GSCM) practices in Pakistan. Methodology & Design This cross-sectional study investigates the effects of Industry 4.0 on economic and environmental performance in an emerging economy using GSCM practices. Smart-PLS is used in the testing of hypotheses. The study used a five-point Likert scale questionnaire administered in person and an online survey. Findings The results showed that GSCM practices mitigate the impact of Industry 4.0 on environmental performance. Furthermore, the findings show that Industry 4.0 has a positive impact on GSCM practices. Limitations The study has few limitations. The research framework lacks any other personal, socio economic variables. Moreover, a moderator is also missing in the theoretical framework. Recommendations Before selecting to use a particular digital technology, consider how it will support the organization's strategic goals. Therefore, managers strategically evaluate role digital technology should play in it | en_US |
