The purpose of the study is to investigate how the university's environmental performance is
impacted by its use of green human resource management (GHRM). Additionally, this study
also focuses on the Moderating effect of individual green and it also seeks to determine how
Environmental orientation fits moderates the relationship between green HRM and
Environmental Performance.
Methodology & Design
In this study, a quantitative design was adopted and a convenient sampling method is used for
gathering the data through a structured questionnaire on 300 University staff (faculty and non faculty) who are currently employed at Zia Uddin University. The data were collected from
April 2022 until Dec 2022 on three campuses (Clifton, North and Link road) of Zia Uddin
University, Karachi.
Findings
The study's findings suggested that changing employee behavior through human
management strategies might eventually improve an organization's environmental
performance. Furthermore, the results show that individual green values affect the association
between green GHRMP and organizational environmental performance, with the mediation of
environmental orientation.

Limitations
The theoretical and methodological constraints always leave room for further inquiry. A
convenience sampling strategy is used in current research to acquire data, and it is done all at
once. It could take some time to fully realize the impact of green HRM involvement on
behavior modification. Future research may take a longitudinal approach or adopt green HRM
techniques by examining the adjustments to employee commitments, behaviors, and
environmental performance for a better understanding. Recommendations
Future research on green HRM should take other methods like green recruiting into
consideration, in addition to the three green HRM practices that are already being employed in
research, such as green training and engagement and green appraisal.
