dc.description.abstract Hydrocarbon is one of the most essential parts of economics of any country. Even on the smaller scale hydrocarbons play a wide role in everyday life. Geoscientists have been trying for a long time the explore hydrocarbons and are applying different methods in this regard. Geophysical Methods are the most widely used methods in the exploration of hydrocarbon; especially Reflection Seismology has great importance in this regard. Pakistan has a high potential for hydrocarbons, endowed with three major sedimentary basins namely, the Indus, and Baluchistan Basin. Indus is the only producing basin of Pakistan where 83 oil and gas fields have been discovered. ( Ahmed & Manshoor Ali, 1994). The lower Indus basin is dominated by the structural traps and mostly seismic data is incorporated for the delineation of these traps. The Indus basin belongs to the category of extracontinental downward basins which account for 48% of the world’s known petroleum resources. (Hasany & Saleem, 2001). In the present work, an attempt has been made to correlate the results obtained by the seismic data to obtain a structural model. Interpretation of the seismic lines has been carried out in order to study the subsurface structure of the area. en_US
