dc.description.abstract Power Management is a complex task because of the increase in the application of industrial, sensitive, and critical loads. It has become a huge challenge to reduce the losses in the distribution system and enhance the voltage profile and overall performance of the regional feeders. To achieve this purpose, we are going to use batteries and shunt capacitors in the distribution network so that the losses can be reduced. The proposed method will improve the electrical power system. The shunt Capacitors have the ability to reduce electrical energy losses and maximize the voltage profile. Optimal battery and shunt capacitors Sizing and siting for the Distribution System is a complex task. It is difficult to place the batteries and shunt capacitors at different points in the large distribution networks. Doing so, it is a very time taking and difficult task to perform where one should calculate each and every point of the system so that the most desirable results are obtained. To overcome the problem of time and effort, we will use an algorithm by the name of Sea Horse Optimizer which will be very helpful for obtaining the results in a limited time with less effort. Matlab software will be used for this purpose. To avoid any uncertainty and ambiguity, we will use two more software by the name of Torrit and Matpower. This software will help us to create a whole distribution system and then obtain the necessary data from the distribution network. Manpower is also very helpful in calculating economic constraints. The proposed methodology will be applied and tested on different distribution networks through different cases. There are five different cases i.e. Batteries as Source, Batteries as Load, Shunt Capacitors only, Batteries as Load with Shunt Capacitors, and Batteries and Shunt Capacitors Together. There are four batteries and four shunt capacitors have been used in this research. The proposed method will reduce the energy losses and improve the readability. The proposed method will reduce the energy losses and improve the readability. It will be very useful, especially for the regional feeder’s loadability enhancement. en_US
