dc.description.abstract Carbon credits trading (CCT) is a growing market opportunity which Pakistani brick kiln industry should avail. Pakistan's brick kiln industry can attain financing from CCT for which there need to be Zig-Zag kilns, which reduce emissions resulting in carbon credit trading which is what this project aims to achieve. Pakistan will achieve this aim by learning from Bangladesh how it has modernized its brick kiln industry from traditional kilns which was an old, inefficient technique for producing bricks to a more efficient way of producing bricks via zig-zag technology to reduce Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions. Also, Pakistan can learn from Jordan how they have introduced a framework to promote carbon credit trading. Both these frameworks were implemented by the respective governments, and they succeeded in it. So, this is how project will achieve its aim and so will Pakistan by introducing such policies and frameworks like Bangladesh, Jordan and other countries did to not only generate revenue from CCT but to promote its brick kiln industry while contributing towards the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13 of Climate Change. Pakistan is facing severe challenge of Climate Change which is adversely affecting the country in form of floods and air pollution. This study is intended for Pakistani government, policy makers, Brick Kiln Owners Association Pakistan and other brick kiln industry stakeholders, local public and financial institutions, State Bank of Pakistan & local community whereas international organizations like World Bank or other supranational organizations will be pursued by government for financing needs. Financing of green initiatives by proposed mechanisms will sustain brick industry and make it shift obsolete production methods which were causing air pollution, promote economic growth as well as save the country and its people. The financing scheme of carbon credit trading can not only be implemented in brick kiln sector but also in other sectors and Pakistan can develop its own CCT exchange. en_US
