dc.description.abstract This report entails detailed study of the supply chain management processes, issues and the possible solutions for the small-scale company, named Merit Bread, based in Kala Shah Kaku, Lahore. It discusses the various challenges relating to supply chain including the poor use of technology, demand forecasting, poor production planning, weak inventory management control etc. and the probable solutions to deal with such issues. Apart from this, it also provides an in-depth industry analysis, analysing the various internal and external factors at play that may impact the overall competitive advantage of the small-scale companies in the Food Sector. Discussion in this report is mainly conducted in Pakistan’s context. Since the Merit Bread is mainly involved in the baker sector, therefore, due to the vulnerable supply chain, it has to deal with multiple issues in order to remain competitive in the market. Hence, a comprehensive study is conducted to address the key challenges of supply chain, and the solutions provided for Merit Bread are equally applicable for many other small-scale companies operating in the sector. en_US
