dc.description.abstract The field of data analysis plays a critical role in shaping business performance and decision-making processes. As organizations grapple with the increasing complexity and volume of data that is unequivocally called Big Data, the effective utilization of analytical tools has become vital for deriving meaningful insights and gaining a competitive edge. In this study, we aim to explore the factors influencing business performance through the use of analytical tools and examine their implications for curriculum updates and software choices in Pakistani universities and businesses respectively. Our research endeavors to achieve three-fold aims, addressing key areas of concern and emphasizing the need for comprehensive analysis: Curriculum Update: Examining the Misalignment between Education and Market Demand In the current landscape, we have observed a mismatch between the skills taught in existing curricula for business undergraduate students and the market demand for data analysis proficiency. This disconnect poses challenges for students and graduates as they enter the job market, where the ability to effectively analyze data is increasingly sought after, especially so in the FMCG sector. Our aim is to shed light on this discrepancy and emphasize the importance of curriculum updates in integrating data analysis tools and techniques within educational programs. By identifying the specific skill gaps and aligning educational offerings with market needs, we can empower students to meet the demands of the evolving business environment. en_US
