dc.description.abstract | The "Impact Assessment of COVID-19 on the Steel Industry of Pakistan" project seeks to demonstrate how the COVID pandemic has affected the steel sector. The global pandemic had an adverse impact on many industries, but the steel industry, which is among the most significant sectors of any economy, had numerous difficulties. By taking into account three significant steel mills, this research project primarily attempts to assess the profitability of the steel sector throughout the pre-and post-Covid era. A combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods will be used to conduct this study. Financial information will be gathered and analysed for the study from both primary and secondary sources, including annual reports of the various steel companies. The study concentrates on a specific time period that includes the period before the epidemic, the period of lockdown and restriction, and the subsequent recovery stage. The results of this study will add to ongoing research on the effects of the COVID epidemic on various businesses and offer priceless insights concerning the steel sector. By minimising the negative impact and taking ideas into consideration to create a sustainable growth strategy for the future, this study will serve as a reference for policymakers and the owners of steel mills when making investment decisions. | en_US |
