Abstract:
The primary goal of this study is to evaluate the hydrocarbon prospective of Dhodhak Field in the Central Indus Basin of Pakistan. The major structure present in the area is the Sufaidkoh Anticlinolium. A structure marked in the study area is the thrust fault bounded by anticline. The targeted formations are Pab Sandstone and Lower Ranikot Formation. Time and depth contour maps of these formations are created which also confirm faults bounded two ways dipping structure delineated through seismic data. Hydrocarbon potential of Pab Sandstone and Lower Ranikot Formation in Dhodhak-05 well was evaluated by executing Petrophysical Analysis which showed average of 70% hydrocarbon saturation.
