Abstract:
The Minwal block is situated in the Potwar sub-basin's southeastern part. The subsurface structure of the Minwal block was delineated using 2D seismic data, and wireline log data from two wells were used for reservoir rock analysis. The Sakesar
Limestone serves as a hydrocarbon reservoir in this location. The area is in a compressional regime in terms of tectonics, and the seismic reflectors were picked by linking the well and seismic data together. Frontal and back thrusts displace these
reflectors. Structure maps were created for the selected horizon in terms of time and depth, with the depth structure map showing a triangular structure oriented from NW to SE.
