dc.description.abstract Eyes play very important role in our day-to-day life and are conceivably the most valuable gift we have. Blind person also have to communicate with the environment and also they have to do the essential things in indoor environment like moving from one room to another, attending washroom, going to the kitchen or balcony etc. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) report there are almost 285 million people who are visually impaired out of whom 39 million are blind. People above 50 years and older are 82% of all blind. According to ‘THE INTERNATIONAL NEWS’ around two million people are blind in Pakistan, out of which 340,000 are in Sindh as per report published on 18 April 2021. Technology helps a lot to the blind person as they are part of this world and they also have the right to live as normal people do. So the innovation should leave a huge effect on their lives to make what was incomprehensible for them as could be expected and accessible to them today. There is a lot of work done in this field like blind guidance through the stick, through the glasses some of them are high in price and some of them have the gape that will be overcome by others. In this research implementation of hardware in which blind person has a control box which will be fitted as a belt with the blind person and guidance part in the shoes. In the same way destination will be selected by the user, then by the use of the beacons blind will be guided. Obstacles are sensed by the sensor which are implemented in the shoes and sensor will guide the blind to avoid them, guidance will be through beep or vibration like ultrasonic, sonar etc. The developed shoes for blind device is superior in terms of less weight less, able to detect obstacle like stairs, low cost, less power consumption, adjustable, less training and availability of actuation systems. So after all these information we are introducing a ‘Smart Shoes for Visually Impaired Persons for navigation purposes. This will encourage others to do more projects related to this so to overcome the blinds problem. en_US
