dc.description.abstract In today’s world, security systems are the most common need of every organization for observing and monitoring persons at different places. But one thing we have to mention that security systems at entrance of majority of offices, buildings, institutes etc are manual and guards are deployed to check the identification of visiting people. So, there are chances for the entrance of unknown. In order to provide a secure environment, an autonomous security system is required. Our project “Suspect Detection and Tracking through Image Processing” will provide security system which contains face detection, recognition and person tracking. This is totally real time image processing project which is divided into four main categories the first stage is to detect the person’s face then we have to compare the face of person with our existing database. In second stage we recognize the person by comparing with existing database if the image doesn’t match with our database then the person is considered as suspect and alarm is generated which indicates that particular person is unknown. en_US
