dc.description.abstract The notion of democracy is a prevalent phenomenon, with states quickly accepting and embracing It. The idea of diverse views and equal participation touched millions of people around the globe; hence making the state democratic in nature. In the 20th century when the concept of globalization gained power, it acted as a facilitator for the spread of democracy. However, many states repelled this notion apart from its wide acceptance due to monarchic regimes or autocracy. While many changed this notion as per their ethnic and religious values. With changing dynamics, the concept of democracy requires a renaissance. Coming times require all states to must adopt democracy for the formation of more efficient and functional international institutions. The most exceptional example of democracy in Tunisia in the Arab World after the Arab Spring revolutions. Many Arab countries witnessed civil group uprisings that resulted in a democratic transition. The expansion of democratic states where every state shares the same democratic values would form a more applicable legitimate international system, and world governance. en_US
