dc.description.abstract | Learning programming languages is becoming increasingly popular and researchers want to find ways to teach it more effectively. There is a perceived problem with programming teaching and students having difficulty understanding the reasoning behind how programs operate. Therefore, they must be encouraged in some way. Programming should be made fun, and students must feel motivated to practice. Gamification refers to repurposing the concepts of games in non-gaming environments. Businesses, health care, and education use this technology. Consequently, teaching programming concepts with famous moral stories can be an excellent tool for illustrating how they're applied in real-world problems. We believe children should be taught programming at an early age. It is easy to comprehend the basic concepts of programming for the kids. In light of this, we devised a mobile app that utilizes moral stories and simple quizzes to show kids how the basics of programming work. Different levels are presented based on the age of kids on the mobile application. A six to twelve year-old is the target audience. In the beginning of the app, moral stories are shown on-screen and a problem is presented for the children to solve. Blocks of code are displayed, and they can be dragged and dropped onto the correct position on the screen. When the elements are arranged in the correct sequence, the animation is played. The kids are able to watch the code come to life. To test the users' understanding of the information, there is also a set of quizzes. The dashboard section lets parents follow their children's progress. Our goal is to encourage the learning of programming in young people, and we will succeed in this mission. | en_US |
