dc.description.abstract In polluted urban areas, the major form of pollution is air pollution which is polluted mainly by carbon emission. As the population is increasing day by day it is resulting in the increase of vehicles which are creating more air pollution through carbon emission. Not only is this harmful for living creatures but also for the planet too. Such a vast number of vehicles are only resulting in major traffic problems. Another issue in Islamabad that people are facing is that travelling is expensive and all the services available at the moment are either expensive or don’t provide much comfort. To tackle all these issues Carpool is created. At Carpool, our purpose is to decrease the number of vehicles which would result in reducing traffic congestion, peak hour congestion, improving parking because of availability of space, people can save money while travelling, reducing pollution, socializing with the community. As of today, most of the people prefer to travel through private vehicles instead of public transport because of the comfort it provides but are unable to do so because of the high rates of petrol and other ride services. Through carpooling, the cost will be divided among all the passengers in this way people can enjoy the comfort of private vehicles but only by paying low amount. Similarly, users who own vehicles can save money on petrol by sharing their empty seats with users who are travelling to the destination. en_US
