dc.description.abstract | Timetable generation is tedious task for educationalists with respect to time and manpower. Most of the educational institutions are using manual methods for generation of timetable which takes much time and effort to get completed. Therefore, a system is required that can generate timetable automatically to save time. Automated Timetable Generator is a web application that generates timetable automatically. This project introduces a practical timetabling algorithm capable of taking care of both strong and weak constraints effectively. The system automates class, course and semester scheduling process for students, teachers and classrooms by taking into account consideration of all possible constraints. This will integrate by making optimal use of all resources in a way that will best suit the constraints. The system will allow student/faculty to view their profile, view registered courses and view timetable. Each student and teacher will be able to see their respective timetable once they are finalized. It minimizes the time as well as the efforts of the admin who is responsible for creating and managing timetable. It avoids the complexity of setting and managing timetable manually. The system is user friendly and easy to use. This project is designed in accordance with software engineering department requirements. | en_US |
