Abstract:
The adoption of the Internet of Things (IoT) in agriculture, known as smart agriculture, holds immense potential for revolutionizing farming practices. This project presents an IoT-based smart agriculture system aimed at monitoring and automating farming activities to enhance efficiency and productivity. The system incorporates connected
devices and sensors, including humidity, temperature, soil moisture, and pH sensors, to collect real-time data on crop conditions and environmental factors. Through a user-friendly mobile app, farmers can remotely access this data, enabling informed decision-making regarding irrigation, fertilization, and other farming practices. The system's objective is to optimize resource utilization, minimize energy waste, and improve crop yields. The remote accessibility and real-time monitoring capabilities empower farmers to stay updated on crop status from anywhere, facilitating prompt actions and interventions. Data-driven insights enable farmers to optimize planting, harvesting, and treatment timing, resulting in enhanced productivity and cost reduction. Furthermore, the system promotes resource efficiency by providing accurate information on variables such as temperature, humidity, and soil moisture. This aids in avoiding over-watering or under-watering, leading to improved resource management and increased sustainability.
