dc.description.abstract Due to the increased environmental pollution, the world is moving towards an alternative which is environment friendly and power-efficient. Nowadays, the use of green energy is of great preference.As we know about the hike in the petrol prices these days, a low-cost alternative to an automobile is an electric cycle. Specially in Pakistan, it is essential to revive the cycling culture because of its health and social benefits. This report describes the design of electric cycle that will extend the range of typical rider. This electric cycle uses Brushless DC Motor which has very low maintenance cost and has no sound. The main brain of the cycle is the Electronic Speed Controller which will supply the current according to the speed supplied by the throttle. The specified rating for motor is 250W/36 Volts which attains a maximum speed of 25kph, Battery used is the Lithium-Ion 36 Volts/ 12 Ah that is able to cover a distance of 30 km in one charge. en_US
