dc.description.abstract In our project we are concerned about ideal performance of elevator like minimum waiting time for passengers, comfortable acceleration at starting and stopping, smooth breaking, accurate landing with battery supply in case of power loss and for safety of entering and leaving sensors are used. We use microcontroller in order to get required result in which all functions are performed dc motor for elevator up and down two small motor for doors opening both motors have interface with microcontroller which has a power supply with backup battery in case of power loss. Sensors are used to give instruction about the passenger’s entrance. We programmed the microcontroller in such a way that it performs all our desired result. Our Achievement is that we built a functional model of an elevator, the closest thing possible to a real lift in use today, which could be used for educational purposes to understand its operation and for the development of software that controls a real lift to achieve optimal energy savings, reduced user wait time. This project future implications may be in all offices and malls it is helpful in such a way that it is efficient than the normal elevator we will control speed and direction as we wanted. In hospitals it can be used to transport the patients as quickly due to manageable direction and speed. Passengers don’t have to wait long to call the elevator. It also responds quick on requests from customers at different level then the normal one. Motivation behind this idea is that it mechanical, software and electronic hardware which has variety as our degree. And it is a real life project. en_US
