dc.description.abstract Using fossil fuels to produce electricity has various issues, such as excessive expenses, contamination, and geopolitical complications. To confront these challenges, it is advisable to opt for renewable energy sources that are inexpensive, sustainable, readily available, and eco-friendly. However, alternative energy technologies have some restrictions. According to optimistic forecasts, wind energy, photovoltaic systems and biomass could generate only a maximum of 20% of the entire energy production in the next two decades except hydropower. Currently, wind turbines are the most substantial source of renewable power; however, their construction requires massive towers and blades which can impact land use and result in noise pollution. In addition to this issue is the fact that despite increased oil and gas prices recently; investment costs for generating wind power remain high making it not competitive with thermal generators from an economic standpoint. Therefore, researchers are developing a new type of wind generator using controlled tethered kites in order to address these limitations. en_US
