Online Appointment Scheduling and Notification Generating System

Abstract

In every field of life people want to do their work effectively, efficiently and transparently. For this they use different technologies and methodologies to do their work in more effective and in accurate way. Alam Hospital Islamabad also want to upgrade their systems to save time, money, man power and resources. This online Appointment scheduling and notification generating system is developed to automate appointment system of Alam Hospital. To help the user to do their work fast and in a convenient way. It helps the user to save their precious time. The user is able to book Lheir appointments online whenever and wherever from they want. System will generate an automated message to the user who have booked his appoinLmenL with the given time he have booked appointment at. system is also responsible for alerting the doctor for whom patient have booked appointment. A receptionist can make an appointment if a user visit's the hosphal and want to book an appointment.A receptionist could also cancel an appointment if the doctor is unavailable at the specified time. A main admin of the system is responsible for making the profiles of the receptionist in case he hire more workers and expand its business and could also delete the profiles ifthey have left. The system had been implemented using HTML which is opensource, on server side we used PHP which is also open source. With this we also use jQuery and java script.
