Books are the main source of education from the beginning. People love to read and write books from the start of the world as they were the main source of transforming knowledge from one person to another person. But in this century of the Online world, people spent more time on the internet rather than on books, they want to read books on the internet. Therefore, our android application is an online bookstore with a lot of books in PDF form and audio books which uses the DBSCAN algorithm and cosine similarity to recommend books to the users and will convert PDF to audio book. The user can read books for free inside app and can buy those books online and can view them in PDF form. Seller can rent books for number of days seller wants and a customer can pay that price and get that book for that number of days. If the book is rented by user that cannot be downloaded and even user cannot take screenshot of that book and cannot screen record. Sellers are required to provide a copyright photo in order for the admin to decide whether or not to allow the book to go public. Also, a user can upload books that he owns, and in return, he will be given balance that he can withdraw from the companies nearest office. Our Online Book Store app provides a platform where a customer can sign-up, sign-in to his account, read books for free or can purchase paid books using his credit card details. The Administrator will have additional functionalities when compared to the common user. He can add, delete and permit the books, and he can also add, remove book categories, and users in the admin panel of the application. Users can view books based on the categories he selects. User can also bookmark the favorite book. Additionally, customers can search for books by book title. By providing this feature, the system allows customers to easily find the books they are looking for and discover new books that match their preferences. This report presents an in-depth analysis of our android application “Online reading book suggesting system” which utilizes a recommendation system to provide personalized book suggestions to its customers. The app has used a data set to recommend similar books to the users based on a book user is viewing. The app also shows trending books that is trending in last 7 days among all customers. Results show that the recommendation system has been successful in increasing customer engagement and sales for the online bookstore. The system has been implemented to drive more sales and increase customer satisfaction. |
