Daster Khowan

Abstract

Daster Khowan is a web-based application aimed at reducing food waste and combating hunger in society. The project’s main service is to collect leftover food from hotels and restaurants and deliver it to those in need, including slum sites. The application has three interfaces: admin, hotel staff, and rider. The admin interface enables the administrator to register new hotels and restaurants by providing their details such as the name, address, contact information, and login credentials. The admin can also register new riders by providing their information such as their name, contact number, and other necessary details. Additionally, the admin interface enables the creation of slum sites, specifying the areas where food donations are to be delivered. The hotel staff interface allows the staff to create batches of leftover food from their establishments. The batches include details such as the type of food, quantity, and expiry date. Once a batch is created, it is available for riders to pick up and deliver to the slum sites. The rider interface enables the riders to select a batch and the location for delivery. The rider can also view the details of the batch, including the food type, quantity, and expiry date. After picking up the batch, the rider delivers it to the slum site and provides proof of delivery. To ensure transparency and accountability, the application keeps records of all donations. The system maintains a log of all transactions, including the donor’s name, type and quantity of food donated, the recipient’s name, and the delivery time. These records can be accessed by the admin for monitoring and analysis purposes. In conclusion, Daster Khowan is a socially responsible application that tackles the issue of food waste and hunger by providing a platform for restaurants to donate their leftover food to those in need. The system’s transparent and accountable approach ensures that all donations are recorded and tracked, providing a reliable and efficient service to society.
