dc.description.abstract Augmented reality is the hype these days. Games and applications are being developed using this technology to make experiences more life-like. This technology is empowering its users to make better decisions because of the high visibility it offers. Buying furniture online can be troublesome at times. It does not allow one to know whether the piece would fit in the area or whether it will go with the surroundings. One has to use his imagination and usually ends up buying the wrong thing. This is an area where augmented reality can really take things to the next level. This application makes use of Apple’s ARkit to let furniture buyers experience the magic of knowing exactly how a particular furniture piece looks in their homes. The user can place an item in his environment once the plane is detected. Then he can rotate the item to check it from all angles. en_US
