Abstract:
During recent times, Information and telecommunication technology (ICT) has
changed every aspect of human life. Cloud Computing is a swiftly rising area in
today’s modem era. But the nature of data shared in the cloud makes it exposed to
security threats. Today many cloud users are facing major problems like fake logging
in and data theft. So, it is necessary for us to allow access to the users to the cloud by
means of proper authentication for privacy and security purposes. Therefore,
different measures ofsecurity need to be applied to avoid security violations.
This research uses the concept of Biometric Authentication performed in a hybrid
cloud architecture along with Data Encryption to upgrade the system to a new level.
Different models and authentication methods are discussed. After viewing, analysing
and studying different models in previous researches, a new and suitable model is
defined. The proposed system demonstrates a significantly additional reliable model
consisting of a “Hybrid Cloud , a
Storage where the User Credentials are stored and an Encryption Mechanism for
Encryption of Extracted Features. This work will apply the techniques of cloud
computing with the knowledge offeature extraction and encryption for improved and
better security measures.
