Abstract:
Due to the inexpensive and readily accessible raw materials required for the mushroom and fungi industry, as well as the quicker means of communication and marketing, mushroom production has a lot of potential in Pakistan for sustainable revenue production. Through its contributions to trade, business, nutrition, and medicine, mushroom production may directly enhance livelihoods. Mushroom farming can significantly improve the livelihoods of the disabled, women, and struggling individuals who with the correct training and access to the resources, can boost their self-worth and independence through wealth creation. It is also extremely combinable with a wide range of other conventional commercial and domestic activities. It is relatively new to grow mushrooms under regulated conditions. Its appeal is rising, and it has evolved into an export-focused industry. Due to the low cost and wide availability of the raw materials required for this industry, as well as the quicker methods of marketing and communication and greater purchasing power of some people, mushroom growing has a lot of potential in Pakistan and some other developing nations.
