| dc.description.abstract | The study focuses on the direct relationship of job satisfaction indirect association through affective commitment. Top management and HR practitioners can recognize the importance of retention in Information Technology industry. Result shows that that there is positive relationship between talent engagement and job satisfaction with mediating effect of affective commitment. These variables have direct as well as indirect impact on turnover intentions through affective commitment. This paper explores the influence of job satisfaction and the talent engagement that contains job engagement and organization engagement in the presence of affective commitment as a mediating variable in a single framework. This study is conducted because of the retention issue in the IT industry and some factors affect the retention rate. Respondents were divided into two categories based on the past literature and theories close ended Questionnaires were distributed in IT industry, among the line manager staff in twin cities of Pakistan. Whereas results have been drawn with the help of SPSS. Analysis of the respondent’s recommends that Top management in IT sector should engage employees more and have more practices in the talent engagement to make them committed towards their job. Also, some of the limitation is that this study is only limited in IT sector with focusing on the retention of first line management authority.
