dc.description.abstract | This study aims at investigating the impact of ethical leadership on turnover intentions of employees through employee engagement, and how general self-efficacy moderates the relationship between ethical leadership and employee engagement. This is a cross-sectional study based on the data collection from employees of the IT sector of Pakistan. The research hypotheses of this study are tested using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The data of this study is analysed in 2 stages. In the first stage, preliminary analysis and descriptive analysis were performed. In the second stage, the measurement model was analysed and hypotheses were tested using SEM. The results show a negative significant impact of ethical leadership on turnover intentions of employees through employee engagement. Moreover, results show that employees with high self-efficacy weaken the relationship between ethical leadership and employee engagement than employees with low general self-efficacy. This study provides a novel insight into the relationship between ethical leadership and turnover intentions through employee engagement. This study is the first one to explore moderating impact of general self-efficacy in the relationship between ethical leadership and employee engagement | en_US |
