Challenges in Balancing Logistics and Budget in Cement Industry

Abstract

This study intends to investigate the issues faced by the cement industry in Pakistan in balancing logistics and budget, as well as the impact on the profitability of the business. The research focuses on the implementation of a location-based decision system, which is a worldwide and long-term phenomenon, in order to reduce logistical costs and lead time by employing novel techniques. To collect data, semi-structured interviews were performed with industry experts, which were then thoroughly examined. The key to success in the cement industry, according to the findings of this study, is to maintain an efficient production level and reduce logistical costs through the implementation of a location-based decision system
