dc.description.abstract | The basicaim ofis to interpret sub surface earth structures and stratigraphy of area by mean of seismic interpretation and petrophysical analysis. Fort Abbas is in the Punjab plate form which is considered as stable area, represents eastward rise in gentle monocline structures. The seismic interpretation results in the time and depth contouring which help to understand the sub surface structures. Two lines FABS-33 and FABS 37 are strike lines and 931 FABS – 36, 931 FABS – 35 and 931 FABS – 16A lines are dip lines. Drilling of Fort Abbas well 1 was carried out to test the potentials of hydrocarbon ofKhewra sandstone (Cambrian age) and Salt Range formation of Precambrian age. Three formations Datta, Khewra sandstone and Jutanaformation were marked based on depth and time of the formations. Time contour maps were formed using the two-way travel time of formation and velocity ofcontrol line was utilized to generate generate depth contour maps. The petrophysical interpretation of the Fort Abbas well 01 shows the Khewra formation can possibly act as a Reservoir Rock. | en_US |
