Abstract:
The study area lies in District Bharkan geographically and it lies in Central
Indus Basin geologically. The main purpose of the study is the structure interpretation
and evaluation of rock properties of Burzi-01 Well by using 2D seismic interpretation
technique and petrophysical analysis. The seismic information of the given 2D
information reveals that the study area has been faulted and folded having a strike slip
component as well. Pop-up structure were observed on seismic section with four faults
out of which two major faults were providing the closure. The pop-up structure
indicating that the area to be a part of compressional regime. The time and depth contour
maps also confirm the structure interpreted on the seismic section. The petrophysical
zones interpreted by the study are of Goru/Sembar and Parh Limestone that could be
the potential reservoir in the study area.
