dc.description.abstract The Procurement within the construction companies handles large volumes of goods purchases including purchases from overseas suppliers as well as local suppliers. Adopting effective and efficient information technology is important to continuously carry out procurement performance measurement as well as identify the challenges involved in the supply chain of the construction industry. The study establishes the influence of information technology practices on procurement performance in the Pakistani construction industry. A critical review of the empirical literature is conducted to identify the main thematic concepts of the paper. The adoption of e-procurement practices as a part of information technology is vital because procurement is one of the most critical functions of the supply chain. The major purpose of this study is to identify the Impact of Information and Communication Technology on Procurement Performance: A Case of Procurement Firms in Pakistan Furthermore, to get an idea that which variables and processes are more important for construction companies’ procurement with the use of information technology. There are many variables in the procurement of information technology explains in the literature. Moreover, the importance of each factor (E planning, E sourcing, E tendering, and E supplier selection) are also defined for this study. The quantitative research approach was used for this study and collected information with the help of a questionnaire design. Five different construction companies were selected, and a total of 152 respondents were contacted as a sample size. Analyzing has been done with the statistical methods through SPSS software. Tables and their analysis were used in descriptive analysis and the regression method has been used in inferential analysis so that the hypothesis can be tested easily. These methods have been selected to know more about the topic in detail and according to the nature of the topic. en_US
