Factors Behind the lack of IoT Implementation in Agricultural Supply Chain of Pakistan

Abstract

In today's digitalized economy, agricultural land local system makes millions. Pakistan, although being one of the agriculturally wealthy countries, lags many others. This article discusses and explains an IoT*-based ASCM** system in relation to major obstacles impeding the application of these technologies. The country's technological capabilities, lack of knowledge and power of intermediaries, along with an ineffective legislative reaction from higher ups, have resulted in a catastrophic situation in which digitization is missing. All these aspects, as well as the relevance of IoT-based systems, are covered in ASCM, as well as what may help bring about change in the future. Future state policies will play a significant role in the development of this system, as will a space for social awareness. This study investigated the impact of Factors Behind the lack of IoT Implementation in Agricultural Supply Chain of Pakistan. The prime objective of this research was to figure out how agricultural supply chain is different and why IoT use is necessary and at the end why Pakistan is lacking too much in this kind of innovation. In addition, the study aimed to investigate which factors are more important and critical for the smooth agricultural supply chain while implementing the IoTs. Various IoT and agricultural supply chain determinants are described in the literature. Moreover, the study also defines the significance of each determinant. A questionnaire was used to collect the data. A total of 169 respondents were contacted. Analysis has been carried out with statistical methods using SPSS software. Regression method has been used in inferential analysis so that hypothesis can be tested easily. These methods have been selected to know more about the topic in detail and according to the nature of the topic. The general finding of the study is that different factors are involve in lacking implementing IoT technology in agricultural supply chain like technological awareness, technological development, state policy and many other.
