dc.description.abstract The present study comprises the subsurface structural interpretation of Gupchani area using seismic sections and identification of hydrocarbon bearing zones using petrophysical analysis of Miran-01 well. The Gupchani area lies at the eastern side of Southern Indus Basin. The marked horizons are recognized using formation tops from well Miran-01. Seismic interpretation of the given 2D information reveals that the study area has undergone deformation by the event of normal faulting forming horst and graben structures within the subsurface. The final trend of those structures is N-S indicating the area to be a part of extensional regime. The zones interpreted by the study includes Lower Goru Formation and Chiltan Formation that could be potential reservoir within the study area. en_US
