dc.description.abstract | This research work aims to understand the Structural and Petrophysical aspects of JoyaMair area by using Seismic and Well Log Data. For this purpose, four Seismic Lines and Well Log Data of JoyaMair-04 was provided by LMKR by the consent of DGPC. Interpretation of the Seismic Data included generation of a Basemap, selection of a Control Line, generating TD chart and finally picking horizons and faults and extending the interpretation by Jump Correlation Technique. TWT contour maps were prepared for Eocene Formations to understand the structural framework of the subsurface geology. The interpretation of seismic lines along with contour maps shows the presence of a triangular zone bounded by a fore and back (F1 and F2) thrusts along with basement decollement (SRT). The overall trapping mechanism is structural. Petrophysical analysis revealed presence of two reservoir zones i.e. Chorgali Formation and Sakesar Limestone with average porosity 1.69% and 2.21%, sonic porosity 1.87% and 1.76%, effective porosity 0.14% and 1.57%, saturation of water 96% and 88.8% and saturation of hydrocarbons 3.9% and 11.1% respectively. | en_US |
