dc.description.abstract The study aimed to reveal the delineation of sub-surface structure and hydrocarbon potential of target reservoirs through 2D seismic interpretation and petrophysical analysis of Fimkassar oil field. Fimkassar-02 well (located in Chakwal district) data and the six migrated seismic lines of Fimkassar area 782-CW-25, 77-CW- 4. 77-CW-5, 782-CW-10, 782-CW-13, 782-CW-29 have been acquired to explore the hydrocarbon potential of Chakwal area. By using seismic principles and techniques, the overall structure of Chakwal area from 2D seismic interpretation was evaluated. Horizons of Chorgali and Sakesar formations were identified through td chart and marked on seismic sections along with the major and back trust faults. Time and depth contour maps generated on kingdom software also validated the popup and thrusted anticlinal geometry delineated on seismic sections. Further validation has been done through correlation of contour values depicted on the maps at the well point. In second phase, petrophysical analysis of Fimkassar-02 well was done by marking zone of interest criteria through log behavior and parameters. The calculation of different rock properties like porosity, permeability, water saturation, hydrocarbon saturation was done and their findings were represented through graphs. Sakesar Limestone showed good reservoir properties with low volume of shale and high effective porosity and saturation of hydrocarbon. en_US
