dc.description.abstract This research work is based on 2D seismic reflection data and well logs. The data has been obtained from the area of Khipro, which is located in the Southern Indus basin (Sindh) of Pakistan. This work has been done in the sought of seismic and well data respectively. The five seismic sections, having line number along with a Base Map are 2000-KH-44, 2000-KH-35, 2000-KH-30, 2000-KH-36, 2000-KH-39. Consequently, the main purpose of this research is to evaluate hydrocarbons from the Khipro area that lies in the Sindh monocline. The line 2000-KH-35 and 2000-Kh-39 are strike lines and rest are deemed as dip lines. The root mean square and interval velocities which were computed throughout the processing are also rendered with the seismic section at selected common depth points and are used for the measurements of average velocities to transform the given time into depth. The seismic data is employed for the classification of structural trap, noting the distinct horizons. The Basal and Massive sands of Lower Goru Formation (Cretaceous) are very important reservoirs in the region for holding oil, gas and gascondensate reserves. By applying the well data, the petro physical evaluation of the Siraj South- 01 well reveals the aspects of the hydrocarbon-bearing zone which strengthens the proceeds of the 2D interpretation. en_US
