dc.description.abstract This dissertation presents the Structural modelling and facies analysis using spectral decomposition attribute of Sanghar area, Lower Indus basin, which is located in the south western periphery of the Indian plate. 2D set of data including two strike line, 7 dip lines and 1 well log data from Bobi-01 were used. The key objective of this project is to delineate the subsurface geometry with the help of advance seismic techniques such as spectral decomposition and other seismic attributes in order to understand the petroleum system of the concerned area. Facies analysis is carried out to understand the lithological variations and stacking patterns inside the Lower Goru Formation. Main emphasize is on the interpretation methodology adopted in order to illustrate the horizons and faults. Both the time and depth structure maps depict the faults and tectonic style. As the study area tectonically present in extensional tectonics, accordingly dominated by tilted normal faults and these are responsible for horst and graben structures. From the seismic attributes the stratigraphic features are enhanced. Geological chances of success (GCOS) is carried out to satisfy the elements of petroleum play and 2 zones have 21% and 20.7%, respectively. Volumetric estimation is carried out to calculate the amount of reserves present in the area and reserves recoverable at 70% has 19.6 BCF for the Lower Goru Formation. To check the credibility of the prospect, economic analysis is carried out and the net pay value is calculated as 540.95 billion dollars. en_US
