Real-Time News Analytics From Broadcast Videos

Abstract

We live in a revolutionary world transforming everyday. Pakistan the nation that was exposed to only one government-controlled news channel has been put in the whirlwind of unfiltered flashing news channels. Media is the the vital source of today’s world trend pattern and we can use such patterns to provide better analysis. News Analytica is a real-time broadcast analysis web application. This Application is targeting those people who doesn’t have time in this hectic routine of life and wants a short summary of news on a specific time. We have captured the frames from live new channels broadcast and used passed those frames to the facial recognition and text recognition function and then stored them in database and created useful analytics and shown on the dashboard. Chapter 1 mentions the brief introduction ,background of the "Real-Time News Analytics". In Chapter Literature 2 view we will discuss the comparative study and similar work. Chapter 3 presents the requirement specifications while Chapter 4 details the system design. System implementation is discussed in Chapter 5 while Chapter 6 presents the results of the experimental evaluations. Finally, we conclude the report in Chapter 7.
