There are four different types of augmented reality which are marker-based, marker-less, projection-based, and superimposition-based. It has a wide range of practical applications. Numerous industries including healthcare, education, manufacturing, robotics, and entertainment use augmented reality. The category of mixed reality includes augmented reality. It might be viewed as the opposite of virtual reality, but both share certain similarities and distinctions. An Augmented Reality has the potential to carry out complicated operations much simpler. Virtual and real worlds are combined in augmented reality, giving the user new tools to ensure effective knowledge transfer for a variety of tasks and settings. The research community has put out several Augmented Reality-based solutions, particularly for maintenance operations where Augmented Reality technologies have promised significant advancements and offered fresh viewpoints. Also, Augmented Reality is a very demanding technology that still has significant problems that prevent its use in an industrial setting currently.
