Information Technology has been evolving day by day and it brings more facilitation
toward the entrepreneurial process. Entrepreneurs play an important role in the
development of a country. Information Technologies give women entrepreneurs
empowerment and enable their growth and give opportunities of growing beyond the
physical boundaries. In developing countries like Pakistan, there is a considerable need
of giving women entrepreneurs exposure to the latest trends in technologies. The main
reason for this research is to explore the impact of Information Technology on women
entrepreneurs in the urban areas of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, Pakistan through
Technology Acceptance Model. Based on TAM model four variable were used that
influence the women entrepreneurs toward using Information Technology. Variables
were ‘Perceived Usefulness’, ‘Perceived Ease of Use’, and ‘Attitude towards using the
IT ’and ‘Intention of Using IT. Quantitative approach is adopted and research data
collected through an online questionnaire of a sample size of 180 women entrepreneurs
which was analysed through SPSS. The analysis included a correlation, reliability, and
regression tests. The results exhibit that IT does have a positive impact & benefits women
entrepreneurs. Further, it denotes that perceived ease of use would escalate the intention
of using IT. Attitude of using IT also affects the intention of women entrepreneurs toward
use of IT.
