dc.description.abstract | The Internet of Things (IoT) is becoming famous due to its interconnection’s technologies. The multiple devices are connected to transmit the data by the internet without human intervention. The IoT architecture is decentralized and self-organized where the network topologies dynamically change. Routing plays a vital role in data transmission. The devices in these networks have limited resources like energy, processing, and storage. To achieve better performance of IoT networks, there is a need for smart data aggregation methods. This research proposed an Enhanced Based Routing Protocol for Data Aggregation in IoT. The proposed protocol is based on three main modules where in the first module, the initial topology is constructed, and the Cluster Head (CH) selection process is done. In the second module, the data aggregation is done at the node level and CH level while in the third module, the routing tree is established for reliable data transmission. The proposed protocol is tested by using an NS-2 simulator and compared to existing schemes. The proposed protocol achieved better performance as compared to existing protocols | en_US |
