Abstract

Over the past decade, the evolution of e-commerce has taken the world of commerce to next level. The world wide web changed the old ways of work and explosion of the e-commerce has changed the way we shop because people know that one of the beauties of internet is instant access and now-a-days people don’t have long time for shopping. By using the internet, the rise of online marketplace evolves the commerce world and now people are using e-commerce website to purchase products. Online marketplaces have become a popular place for product vendors to sell, marketer to advertise, and consumers to shop. Many online brands have now online shopping available and they are benefiting their selves by boosting their businesses. There are several ideas already implemented by web developers including online household shopping, selling second hand products and many others. One of the most important and rare idea is commerce of construction materials. Ecommerce based buying and selling of construction materials are implemented by some countries but in Pakistan there is not such website who implements e-commerce of construction materials. The purpose of our project to develop e-commerce based construction materials and planning web portal through which customers can purchase construction material of any kind which is necessary in construction of house or any other infrastructure. Construction materials includes aggregates, bases, RMC, Cements, Marbles and Tiles, Cemetery, Paints, Glassware, Steel, Electrics,Wires etc. Web Portal also have many other important functions like hiring contractors online for fitting of construction materials. Project is cost-efficient, time-efficient and energy-efficient and helping user instant access to design and implement their own dream house through our portal. It will also give customer a brief pictorial view of all designs by different vendors so they can purchase their product by their own choices. Move over our project also have an auction portal in which vendors will publish certain packages for customers and they have to place bid on those packages which contains different products. Package will ultimately will be sold to the highest bidder. Auction portal will provide vendors opportunity to advertise their brand.
