| dc.description.abstract | Indoor Radio Coverage is an important part of carrier’s access network but often a limitation for a telecom operator due to different challenges, like deployment and maintenance costs. However, it can be reduced by optimizing distributed antenna system. The positions of indoor coverage antennas are optimized such that to ensure radio coverage of an indoor environment using minimum number. Coverage effect of antennas is analyzed on that specific floor where these antennae are installed and at below & above floors. Earlier thesis work was focused on the optimization of Indoor Radio Coverage analysis by considering the number & position of Access points (APs) but this work is about, the optimization of distributed antenna system in order to improve indoor radio coverage by considering some specific antenna locations, like near the staircases & at the edges of corridors at the middle floor to maximize coverage range. A comparison is given through simulations and antennas count to show the effect of placing the antenna at specific locations instead of conventional positions. | en_US |
